The AutoLab 1500 is compact, fully functional stiff triaxial apparatuses designed to perform standard coupled process petrophysical and rock mechanics experiments on samples up to 50 mm (2.0 in) in diameter at reservoir conditions of overburden pressure, pore pressure, and temperature. Standard measurements include strain, compressional and shear wave velocities, permeability, complex impedance, and acoustic emissions.
AutoLab 1500 Key Features
- Standard options include deformation with strain gauges and LVDTs, compressional and shear wave velocities, steady state and transient permeability, complex electrical impedance, and counting acoustic emissions (AE),
- Servo-hydraulic control of axial force, axial displacement, confining pressure, pore pressure, and flow rate,
- Supports standard ASTM and ISRM triaxial rock mechanics tests,
- High stiffness, 20 MN mm-1 (14 x 108 lbs in-1),
- An external furnace heats the sample to 175oC (350oF),
- Pore pressure intensifiers with ceramic pistons and titanium bodies that are compatible with water, brine, oil, and gas (including CO2
- Integrated electronics console for servo amplifiers and signal conditioning
- AutoLab v6 control, data acquisition, and processing software,
- Extremely quiet and compact hydraulic power supply.
